What this page is

Qatar Shop respects your right to delete your personal data. This page explains how to request deletion of the data we hold about you, what gets deleted, and how long the process takes.

What we store about you

If you have messaged a boutique on Qatar Shop via WhatsApp, Instagram, or placed an order through one of our storefronts, we may store: your phone number, name, message history with that boutique, delivery address, and order history. Each of these is tied to the specific boutique you interacted with — boutiques cannot see each other's data.

How to request deletion

Send an email to the address below from the email associated with your account, or include a WhatsApp message screenshot so we can verify your identity. Include: (1) your full name, (2) your phone number, (3) the name of the boutique you interacted with (if applicable), and (4) the statement "I request deletion of my personal data from Qatar Shop."

What gets deleted

  • Your customer profile (name, phone, email) for the boutique(s) you specify.
  • Your message history (WhatsApp, Instagram) with the specified boutique(s).
  • Your delivery addresses associated with those boutiques.
  • Your AI-extracted order drafts that did not result in a completed purchase.

What we retain (and why)

We must retain records of completed purchases for seven years as required by Qatari commercial record-keeping obligations. These records are pseudonymized: your name and phone number are replaced with a random identifier so the purchase record no longer identifies you personally.

How long it takes

We confirm receipt within 2 business days and complete deletion within 30 days. You will receive an email confirmation once the deletion is complete.
